How to link your card to Google Pay
Open Wallet & add a card
Open the Wallet app, select Add to Wallet, then choose Payment card
Add a new card
Tap New credit or debit card
Enter card details manually
Tap You can also enter card details manually and fill in your card information. Make sure to use the correct billing address — you can copy it from your card details
Accept terms
Accept the issuing bank’s terms
Choose email verification
You’ll be offered two verification methods — via SMS or email. Choose Send email
Enter the code
Enter the code from the email sent to the address you used when registering your account. If you don’t see the email, check your Spam folder
Methods to Install Google Wallet (Unsupported Regions)
To install Google Wallet in unsupported countries, follow the step-by-step guide below to download and install it directly on your device. Alternatively, change your Google Play Store region by adding a payment method from a supported country. Tap the profile icon > Settings > General > Account and device preferences > Country and profiles, then switch your region back.
Sideload Google Wallet (Android)
Part 1 — Install APKMirror Installer (required first)
- Install the free APKMirror Installer app from the Play Store. Google Wallet is distributed as a bundle file (
.apks) that requires this helper to install — a regular file manager won't work.
Part 2 — Download & install Google Wallet
- Tap the download button for your phone type. Most phones made after 2018 use arm64-v8a; if unsure, check Settings → About Phone → Processor.
Download — Modern phones (arm64-v8a)Download — Older phones (armeabi-v7a) - Once downloaded, open the file — your phone should prompt you to open it with APKMirror Installer. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- If Android asks you to enable "Install from Unknown Sources", allow it for APKMirror Installer. You can turn it off again after installation.
